A new direct service is taking shape in our wonderful world of consolidation

We’re excited to introduce a new direct LCL service connecting Japan with the Nordics.

Together with ECU Worldwide, Nordicon is launching a direct lane from Kobe to Gothenburg to strengthen trade flows between Japan and the Nordic region while delivering greater predictability for freight forwarders.

This new service offers a streamlined, uninterrupted container flow that reduces handling, minimises risk, and provides enhanced control throughout the entire transportation chain. With defined cut-offs, fixed schedules, and stable departures, forwarders benefit from a structured setup built for long-term reliability.

Kobe serves as a strategic gateway for major Japanese cities, while Gothenburg acts as a powerful distribution point with seamless onward connections across the Nordic region, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. Supported by connected CFS locations in Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Yokohama, our service optimises LCL cargo across Japan, offering stable, reliable, and secure handling from origin to destination.

The first departure from Japan is scheduled for March 5, and we are in the process of finalising the final touches.

Looking for a more predictable way to move LCL cargo between Japan and the Nordics? Our direct consolidation service delivers structured flows, reduced handling, and long-term reliability, tailored for forwarders who value control and transparency.
