Greetings from Globicon Terminals.

This is to inform you that Nhava Sheva Container Operators’ Welfare Association (NSCOWA) has raised serious concerns regarding the ongoing traffic congestion at NSICT Terminal over the past 3 to 4 days.

According to the representation received from NSCOWA, the current situation has reached a critical level and is impacting the transport community and cargo movement operations in the following ways:

• Container vehicle queues have extended up to the PUB area, causing severe congestion on approach roads.
• Vehicle Turnaround Time (TAT) has reportedly increased to 15 to 20 hours for trucks to reach the terminal gate.
• Drivers are facing prolonged waiting periods, resulting in fatigue and safety concerns due to limited access to basic amenities.
• Transporters are incurring significant additional costs because of fuel consumption, operational delays, and potential detention charges.

NSCOWA has formally requested the NSICT Terminal Management to take immediate corrective measures to alleviate congestion and restore normal terminal operations.

Customers are advised to plan their container movements and logistics activities accordingly and anticipate possible delays in cargo handling and transportation until the situation improves.

We will continue to monitor developments and share further updates as received from the concerned authorities.

Please find below the quoted message received from JWR CFS regarding the current situation at the port. Kindly do not plan containers for same-day or next-day cutoff vessels. Please ensure that all boxes are planned at least 48 hours prior to the cutoff time to avoid any operational issues.
