We are very excited to inform all our customers that Nordicon have entered a global joint venture with ECU Worldwide, the global leader in LCL consolidation with a network operating in 180 countries and door-to-door deliveries in 52 global markets.
This is a strategic decision for Nordicon group to bring future stability and to continue our development as the leading Nordic consolidator in ocean and rail, as well as terminal handling.
ECU Worldwide is a perfect fit for Nordicon, that will add value to our customers for global logistics and an ideal partner to fuel our aspirations of digital innovation and transformation. Nordicon’s existing IT systems and customer service platform, My Nordicon will remain the same and be connected to ECU Worldwide’s innovative, digital logistics platform ECU360 and enable effective cargo movements across the globe with safety, transparency and end-to-end visibility.
This partnership does not in any way affect Nordicon’s current products, services, technology or management structure. Your existing contracts and transactions will continue to be in effect until the change of agents gradually will be rolled out. This mean that our existing network will be replaced in 30-90 days from today (more detailed information will follow).
This transaction mean that ECU Worldwide will hold 65% and present owners 35% ownership in Nordicon Group.
Commenting on the partnership, Linus Ahlm, CEO, Nordicon Group, said, “Nordicon has decided to change global network to ECU Worldwide to create the best opportunities for sustainable growth in the future and are very happy to commit to this long-term partnership. The global strength of ECU Worldwide is a perfect match with Nordicon’s leading position in the Nordics which will add value to our people and customers.
We look forward to emerging stronger and better, together with ECU Worldwide.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions.
